The Grand United Order of Odd Fellows recently lost a loyal and dedicated brother, Bro. Labon Malachi Lundy, PHGME. He was Honorable Grand Master of the Order for many years and will be missed by so many. There was representation from around the world for his funeral services. Rest in peace, Bro. Lundy. Charity donation to the Sheppard Clinic in Zebulon, N.C.
The Brothers and Sisters made a charity donation to the Sheppard Clinic in Zebulon N.C. This is a clinic serving the community which gets no funding except the donation given to them. They serve the people whom otherwise would not get any health care because of lack of funds to pay! Included in the photos: Bro.Melvin Holden, Bro.Greg Holden, Bro.Armstrong, Sis Joanne Irby, Sis Debra Russell, Sis Such Martin and Sis Geraldine.

District of Illinois holds Thanksgiving Service
The District of Illinois held Peter Ogden Thanksgiving Service. Those participating included Tessie Free HHR 6929, Silver Leaf 5211 and CAS-WAL Lodge 12083. PMWGSE Minnie Martin, Guest Speaker Minister Denita M. Tittle and Bro. Norman Slusher. The service was held at Matthew House 3728 S., Indiana Avenue, Chicago, IL, 60653.

GUOOF Presentation to American Red Cross
There was a presentation of our donation to the American Red Cross for relief of victims of Hurricanes Irma and Marie. MHGM John W. Green would like to thank all the members of the order that gave from their hearts. The presentation was made to Bill Brent, Executive Director of the Central Virginia Regional Chapter. He was presented with a check for $1070 on Monday June 4, 2018.

DGM Joseph Mathurin Celebrates 75!
This was my 75th. Birthday celebrated on Saturday, March 17th, though my actually B/Day was March 19th. My two brothers from England and one from New York came over for the event. My son from England also came over for the event I was circled by dozens and dozens of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to the capacity of 150. Continued blessings, Bro. Joe!

Washington Lodge #1513, Kentucky, continues to write its history, future
Washington Lodge plays role in all our heritage. The Grand United Order of Odd Fellows is an African-American fraternal organization founded in 1843. Although the GUOOF still exists, its overall membership has declined sharply, just as the number of fraternal organizations everywhere has fallen. The community rallying around the Odd Fellows’ effort to preserve the history of the African-American fraternal order and to rebuild the Washington Lodge in New Castle represents the best of America, said speakers at a ceremony following the 145-year Homecoming parade Aug. 19, 2017.
